The Cranbrook Senior School campus in Bellevue Hill is an independent Anglican secondary day and boarding school for boys. A major redevelopment was scheduled from 2019 – 2022 addressing several buildings of the school, some more than 100 years old. We were pleased to assist Viridi Group and the main contractor (Richard Crookes Construction) in completing a portion of the works for this historic school.

HD works included the on-ground assembly of three roof cassettes constructed from glued laminated timber members and steel connection pieces. After the cassettes had been fully assembled on their temporary props and cladded in cross laminated timber sheets, they were carefully craned into position on top of the chapel building creating a beautiful timber roof structure with exposed rafters forming a three dimensional star shaped pattern.
