This old building situated close to the beach in Collaroy had been subjected to coastal environmental conditions for years and was showing signs of concrete spalling. It was in desperate need of some attention to stop further reinforcement corrosion.

HD Strata Remedial Builders were asked to remediate all the balconies by demolishing balcony floor finishes and balustrades to be able to identify all concrete spalling areas. Once identified, HD Strata Remedial Builders removed any loose or flaky concrete, cleaned, and replaced corroded reinforcement bars, applied an anti-corrosive agent, and rebuilt the area with high strength repair mortar. After spalling repairs were completed, the balconies were then covered with new waterproofing membranes and tiles and finally fitted with new balustrades.
